First steps for a Hanna user

A practical path through Hanna navigation, profile, customer data, Tasks, Calendar, Dashboard, sales, and training resources.

Last updated 7 days ago

This guide will help you get acquainted with the key areas of Hanna relevant to your daily work. Follow the steps in order, and select sales-related topics only if they apply to your role.

1. Get to know the navigation

Start by reviewing Hanna Navigation and Side Menu Management. You will learn how to open modules, expand module groups, and customize the side menu to suit your workflow.

Next, read about Search, quick create, and top bar tools. These actions help you quickly find a record or create a new one without having to search for a specific module in the menu.

2. Check your profile

Review your personal information, working hours, and notifications in the Profile details, working hours, and notifications article.

You can find information on login security and personal contacts in the Profile Security and Personal Integrations article. If your organization uses two-factor authentication, set it up according to your administrator's instructions.

3. Learn to work with customer information

The Creating and managing Contacts article explains how to find a customer, understand the Contacts list, create a new Contact, and open their record card. Before creating a new entry, check the system to ensure the Contact does not already exist.

4. Plan your tasks

Start with Creating and editing a Task. When creating a Task, the most important steps are selecting the assignee, the deadline, the status, and the necessary related records.

Next, familiarize yourself with Tasks list, Kanban, calendar, filters, and templates. Choose the view that best suits your daily work and save frequently used filters.

5. Use the Calendar and Dashboard

The Calendar and its views article explains how to view scheduled tasks across different timeframes.

In the Dashboard key features article, you will find summaries and widgets. These sets can be prepared by an administrator or customized according to your permissions.

6. If you work in sales

Register a new prospective client according to the Creating and managing Leads article. Once a specific sales need arises, proceed with Opportunity card and workflow.

Training videos

You can also review common module workflows on the Hanna CRM YouTube channel. A video's interface may differ from the current Hanna version, so confirm field names and settings in this Help Center.

If you do not see the described function

The visible modules, buttons, and data depend on the permissions assigned to you and the functions enabled within the organization. Check the side menu and contact the Hanna administrator if the required workspace is still not displayed.
