The Automatically assign the creator as the assignee option on the new item form pre-selects the logged-in user as the assignee. However, please check the Assignee field before saving. If the item is linked to a project, the final choice may depend on the project team.

The Automatically remove assignees option is designed for workflows where the person who starts or completes the work becomes the sole assignee. When the status changes to In Progress or Done, other assignees may be removed.

Use this option with caution. The list of assignees determines who can see the item, receive notifications, and find it via filters. If the item is linked to another record, check the assignees on the linked record as well.

It is recommended to create a test item with multiple assignees and verify both status changes before applying this setting to the entire team.
