Goods Receipt Items, quantities and serial numbers

Specify the ordered and actually received quantities in the line. The warehouse balance is updated only by the received quantity. Check the Items code, description, unit, purchase price, VAT, and comment.

If serial numbers are used, each number must correspond to a specific unit. Multiple numbers can be entered separated by commas, but compare the count against the received quantity before saving.

Where permitted, a new Item record can be created from the Goods Receipt line. Use this only after verifying that it does not already exist in the Items catalog. Purchase prices are displayed only to Staff with the appropriate permissions.

Goods Receipt statuses and warehouse balances

Until the Goods Receipt is confirmed, its Items must not increase the final warehouse balance. Upon changing the status to received Items, Hanna records a positive balance change in the selected warehouse. If a confirmed document is cancelled, the previous change is reversed. A confirmed document is typically locked. If you need to correct the warehouse, Item, or the quantity, first cancel the confirmation, make the changes, and re-confirm.

When Goods Receipt is linked to an order, the received quantities also determine the status of Order. If the balance or the status of Order has not changed, check the status of Goods Receipt, line links, and integration settings.
