Project files, time entries, notes, and activity

Document visibility, timers, and information channels.

Last updated 13 days ago

Upload documents or add external links in the Files tab. Specific visibility settings may apply to a file, so project membership does not always guarantee access. Check the result via the client account before sharing through the portal.

Time entries are generated from timers linked to project Tasks. The overview can display total time as well as time broken down by team member. The financial outcome depends on billability, the rate, and whether the time has already been included in Invoice.

Notes are intended for internal project information. Activity logs system actions, and some entries can be marked as visible to the client. The email log and Tickets are content from separate modules and require the corresponding permissions.

If the total time is unexpected, check active timers, the Tasks project link, team member, and the selected time period. If a colleague cannot see a file, check its visibility rule rather than just their project permissions.

Information organization

Include the document's purpose and version in the file name. Record internal decisions in the Notes section, while placing client-facing work within the task or the area visible via the portal. Do not use the activity history as a free-text log, as it is generated by system actions.

Check Task and the date before stopping or editing the timer. A running timer continues to increase the project time; therefore, an incorrect Tasks can distort summaries and Invoice.
