What you’ll do

You will create an Order for a supplier, specifying the warehouse or customer delivery location, dates, assignees, and the Items being ordered.

Before you begin

You need permission to create an Order and access to the supplier and the selected warehouse. Before creating it, prepare the Items quantities, currency, and delivery location.

Steps

  1. In the Orders list, select New record. Select the supplier, warehouse, status, assignees, and the Order date. If the Order is related to a project, Opportunity, or a preliminary Invoice, specify the link in the form. The supplier's default currency may be selected automatically, but verify it before saving.
  2. Select delivery to a warehouse or a customer. For delivery to a customer, specify the customer, the Contact person, and the delivery address. Enter the planned receipt date, a comment, and a note for the supplier. The Lithuanian and English notes are used in documents in the respective languages. 3. Add the Items lines, verify the quantities, prices, and dates, and select Save. The number based on the assigned series is usually generated automatically.

What happens upon saving

Saving creates an Order record containing the vendor, warehouse, delivery details, and Items lines. The number based on the active series is usually generated automatically.

Troubleshooting

If Items or the warehouse cannot be selected, check the vendor association, warehouse access, and active filters. If the number is not generated, the administrator must check the Orders numbering series.
